Artistic Expression - Pre-K
Let your child explore their own
artistic expression! This will be encouraged through many different
medias from acrylic painting to 3-D sculpture. Some of the activities
include a full body collage and imaginary landscapes. This course,
tailored for this age group, will focus on your child truly expressing
themselves through art! (NO CLASS APRIL 19th)
Age: 4-6
Dates: Monday March 22nd
- May 3rd (6 weeks)
Time: 3:30pm - 4:30 pm
Fee: $150
Instructor: Katie Bassett
Katie is a graduate of Western
Connecticut State University School of Visual and Performing Arts. She
has a dual degree in Sculpture and Graphic Design. Katie brings a
strong background in art history and art therapy. Presently Katie is
teaching Pre-K art at the Montessori School in Ridgefield as well as
being an exhibiting artist.

Art Explorations I
In this class students will have
a chance not only to draw and paint but collage, print, sculpt and
construct. Each class will be an adventure in art! By working in
different media and sometimes mixing them, students will be taught
various techniques to help them explore and develop their creativity in
imaginative and diverse ways while creating their own unique pieces of
art. Personal expression will be nurtured, encouraged and directed
through gentle guidance and varied inspirations. (NO CLASS APRIL 20th)
Age: 5 - 12
Dates: Tuesday March 23rd - May 4th (6 weeks)
Time: 4:30pm - 6:00pm
Fee: $150 + $10 materials fee
Instructor: Eileen Panepinto
Eileen is a painter and mixed media artist with
a BFA from The School of Visual Arts NYC (honors in painting). She has
been in numerous solo and group exhibits and is in a number of private
collections. She is a teaching artist who has taught art classes and
workshops for many years in places such as Ridgefield Guild of Artists
(where she was also in charge of their children's art program). She has
alos been a part of "visiting artists" programs through the Westport
Art Center, has taught in a number of after-school programs in areas
schools and has taught privately. Eileen resides in and has a studio in
Weston.

Art Explorations II
This class will be a continuation of Art Explorations I with many other different weekly art adventures (students need not have taken Art Exploration I to be able to join in on the fun.) Children will be able to draw, paint, print, sculpt, construct, collage, etc. This course will build on what students learned in the AE I as they continue to work in different media using various techniques. They will be able to develop their creativity and skills further as they create their own unique pieces of art.
